People News

Infinity Tapes

In the past, we have highlighted individuals either new to the company or key contributors. As many know, Infinity has kept our pricing in check and NOT had a price increase in 5 years this month. While most tape companies have price increases annually, we take this responsibility of raw material cost changes on ourselves by increasing our operational efficiency within our plant. Infinity Tapes has taken a different approach to running its operations in the last 4 years by implementing lean manufacturing practices. Infinity Tapes has been focusing on building leaders on the production floor, who have been helping with maximizing efficiency initiatives and reducing waste throughout all our processes. In the last year, the company invested in sending Mostafa Anbar, Plant Manager, and Matt Edison, Lean Initiative, to an intensive training workshop in Kentucky. Lead by a team of some of the best in the industry, they spent time in a Toyota manufacturing plant, learning about lean manufacturing and how to effectively run such a facility and reduce costs. Our new philosophy is to solve problems together; everyone should think in terms of problem solving, which leads to high quality – low costs – short lead times!

Things to Know

Storage Conditions

Infinity Tapes

Storage conditions can have a huge effect on the shelf life and dependability of tape. As most adhesives are a semi liquid material, high and low temperature exposure can change the desired performance of a tape. When they get very hot (above 150F), the adhesive will begin to flow and may thin out and/or ooze beyond the liner. When they get very cold (below 20F), the adhesive will harden and if applied before restoring to room temperature, they may not adhere well. It is important to store your tapes in these recommended storage conditions:

  • 68 – 72° F / 20 – 22° C
  • 50% relative humidity
  • Rolls store flat in their original packaging, spools should be stored with the arrows on the box in the correct position and both always from direct sources of UV (i.e., lights, sun).
