Infinity Tapes

Mailers, Mailers, Mailers!!

Securing those fragile items safely in an envelope for sending by mail or courier requires a special package. Most mailers are made of film with air encapsulated bubbles to provide a cushion of your valuable items. And while the cushion is important to provide a safe haven for the fragile item, securely sealing that mailer is also vital. Infinity Tapes HKC 65 & 67 series of permanent double coated, closure tapes provide an absolute closure system on all film materials. These tapes have a film release liner that is easily cut with a hot wire or hot knife. Additionally, if the mailer is a paper envelope with bubble inserts, our DF 55 & 65 series of permanent double coated closure tapes are perfect for the paper lip application. These have a printed paper release liner that is easily cut with a normal cutting devise for the paper envelope.

Business forms, brochures, envelopes, foam lamination, film lamination, bag closure, etc……What do all these products have in common?? They all have a need for Infinity Tapes transfer adhesive tapes! From the very thinnest version, 1 mil, to the thickest, 4 mils, these versatile unsupported adhesives perform bonding and attaching functions for a variety of applications. Our T600 series products have a printed or unprinted 42# paper release liner for easy cutting and our PT700 series have a PET film release liner for hot wire or hot knife cutting. Things to Know

Infinity Tapes adhesive technology is based on hot melt adhesives, which are unique in their own right. These adhesives exhibit a soft and pliable structure, which provides the ability to flow into the fibers of paper and also adhere well to low surface energy films. However, the adhesives do have a narrow band of operating temperature from approximately 30 degrees F to about 150 degrees F. Ideally, the tapes should be applied at an ambient temperature to allow a secure bond. In another edition of our newsletter, we discussed proper storage conditions. If these adhesives are stored at colder or hotter temperatures than recommended, they should be “conditioned” prior to application. Meaning bringing them to an ambient temperature level prior to applying them. Remember, these are chemicals and thus reactive to environmental conditions. If you have a need for a cold temperature adhesive, give us a call for a sample of our new HKC 69 Cold Temp product.
